SHIREE'S ANSWER:

Pavé refers not to the type of diamond but they way that it's set in the jewelry. Pavé set diamonds are 'paved' in rows or across the surface of the jewelry piece in such a way that it creates the effect of an endless array of diamonds. Micro-pavé specifically are diamonds set under a microscope with tiny prongs manually crafted by an expert diamond setter. This technique is one of my personal favorites and you'll find it used often in our wedding rings, engagement rings and diamond bangle bracelets.
